The Hockliffe Project was run from De Montfort University, UK.

The Principal Investigator was Nigel Wood, now Professor of Literature at Loughborough University.

The Hockliffe Research Fellow was Matthew Grenby, now Professor of Eighteenth-Century Studies at Newcastle University.

The technical direction, including encoding design and website realization, was undertaken by Peter Robinson, Director of the DMU Centre for Technology and the Arts during the original project and now Bateman Professor of English at the University of Saskatchewan. He was also responsible for the 2012 reconfiguring of the site.
